Are You Full, Half Full or Empty?

ARE YOU FULL? Are you filled up the way you want to be? 


ARE YOU HALF-FULL? Do you want to be Full to the Brim? 


ARE YOU EMPTY?  What do you want to be filled with? 


My DESK is Full.  Full of all kinds of “stuff”.  My email box is Full to Over-full (mostly useless).  This is not the FULL I’m talking about. 


Do you feel like you’re only accomplishing HALF what you want to?  Are you overwhelmed with the part of you that just “isn’t there”?  Is there a reason you think this feeling is coming up for you? 


If you feel like you’re actually running on EMPTY, What will happen if you don’t Fill Up—I mean, fill up with Good.  Good work production; Good Peace in your Life; Good Relationships… And… Good Health. 


If you’re “Half Full” or “Empty”, these are the things that probably could be better in your life—not saying you don’t have these things—just that they probably could be better, which would make your life so much richer: 

  • Meaning in your life is soooo important.  It gives you extra energy to meet a new day, to keep the smile in your heart when things don’t go as planned. 
  • Purpose in your life…when you feel your true purpose, it adds another dimension to your days. This also gives you extra energy when things don’t go right—it gives you the reason to keep going when it’s hard. 
  • Connection to others.  We get energy from our connections with people we care about.  In this time we’re living in, fast-paced as it is, it sometimes leaves us with no time to actually spend interacting, and even caring deeply, for those around us.  We don’t mean to neglect this, but sometimes it’s not easy to take time away from our busy lives to cultivate this.  This is a great casualty of being “busy”. 
  • (And if you lack those people in your life as suggested in #3, REALLY—it’s time to find some of them, and to open your life up to them.  The result could be a better and stronger life for you.) 


If you feel like you’re “Half Full” or “Empty”, DO YOU BELIEVE you could make a Transformation? 


If you are Overworked…Overwhelmed… 

If you feel you Just Can’t … 


Let’s Begin with a try… 


Take a few moments—just a little bit of time.  To just be Still and Quiet. 

To stretch your heart a little… In the opposite direction from Rushing, and Doing.  


Think of One Thing you’d like to ADD to your life—if you could do it…if it wouldn’t add any stress to your life…something you’d actually like to HAVE in your Life without adding any burdens to it. 


What are some benefits this thing would add to your life—if you could have it? A sense of accomplishment? A sense of well-being? Healing? Joy? A time of rest? Fun?  Think of some benefits it would add. 


Think if you want those benefits.  How would it feel? 


Stay in that Quiet Space for a bit longer— 

Think of the feelings you’d have if you added that One Thing to your life without adding any additional stress… 

Feel it for a bit.  Now, Be Thankful for that feeling… for how good it feels. 


Now…Think a bit deeper… 


Think of some ways that might be able to possibly help this idea to come to pass.  OK, yes…this is a stretch.  But you’re stretching… So.  Stretch.  Imagine.  Imagine the possibility. 


Think of as many ways as you can think of, that could make this thing happen.  Think unusual things.  Think Impossible things. 


How many of those things would you be willing to try, if you thought it could make that idea actually happen. 


Great things happen with people push through, farther than they can… 


In your daily life right now, you push through, working hard and long—you push through doing one more thing…  But what about pushing through with your thoughts—your imagination…to make things really happen! 


Then… try those things! 


Be Courageous with your imagination, and your heart…not just your hard work and dedication to your work.  Try them all.  (Well, if they’re legal and moral that is.) 


You may be Very Surprised.
