Is your life running too fast?

Your Body’s Not Broken…

What’s the matter then?  Where’s your energy gone?  Why the brain fog?  Why can’t you get things done?  Where’s your time gone?

Do you know these are common complaints of clients?

I’m pretty sure there’s not just one easy answer…  No real diagnosis from a doctor… Nothing a medicine could cure… Nothing some vitamins could take care of…

Since we’ve been eating the same way for probably our whole lives, it’s hard to believe it could be the way we eat.

It’s also hard to think it might be that any amount of exercise could help.

More sleep and more peaceful sleep… well, we might see that as helping, but most of us just don’t sleep well.

Our relationships seem to be alright… we may take them for granted, but they seem to be good enough…

Are you stressed?  Do you go full speed, working—and not working?  Are you able to rest any during the day?  Do you have any quiet time at the beginning of your day—or before bed time?  Do you have any peace and quiet time for yourself in your work days?

The term self-care is over used, and really doesn’t have much meaning to me.  Even though I do think it’s good for us to have manicures and massages, and other things that help us feel special, I don’t believe those things are the perfect ingredients to help us truly care for ourselves.

Most things we do to help ourselves, needs for us to do it more than once.  Most things don’t actually make a difference at all unless we do them regularly for a time.

Good food doesn’t improve our bodies unless we eat it pretty regularly for awhile.  Exercise doesn’t just make our muscles stronger overnight—we need to exercise regularly for it to make a difference.

We have to nurture relationships over time, in order to strengthen them.  And if we don’t practice sleep hygiene for a while before our sleep improves.

These are all healthy things we can do to help ourselves be healthier… experiencing less brain fog, having a bit more energy, not catching every “bug” that comes along, and having the feeling that we are actually accomplishing something.  Every one of them helps these things.

But if we “run” at full speed all day, with no quiet time, no time to reflect, no time to think, no time to let our body and mind be still, our bodies weren’t made to run like this, and it won’t perform like you want it to.  It will, for a while.

Our bodies are miraculously designed, to withstand lots of punishment.  But overworking anything will harm it, and our bodies (and minds) are no different.  We will forget things, sometimes really important things; we’ll be tired by mid-afternoon (no… Really… that’s not normal—just because it’s common.  It’s NOT normal).

We won’t be able to get as much done as we wanted to because we’re not running as efficiently as we once did.  If you think it’s because you’re “getting older”, that’s not the answer.  We won’t feel as confident as we could.

We won’t give the people around us the attention that we want to give them.  We won’t feel we have the energy, or the time.  After awhile, this lack of energy and time will probably feel normal, and you may not realize you’re living below your normal level.

So, do you want to live below your energy level, and brain level?

One of the main things that robs us of our energy and our brain energy, is overwork and overwhelm.  Just too much to do… never getting totally caught up.  Always behind on what we want to do.

Do you believe your life can be different?  Do you realize you can actually have the energy to get everything done … and maybe more?  Do you realize your brain can come up with a lot more ideas and imaginative thinking than it does?  Do you realize you don’t have to experience the brain fog (it’s not “old age”)?

If you think it’s impossible to change your life so that you can experience those things, I’m here to tell you… it’s very possible.  You can do it.

*****************

What if you don’t decide to make changes?

Well, everyone’s different.  Our bodies are different; our mindset is different.  Our symptoms will be different.

First, your body will talk to you—some kind of symptom.  It’s very wise to listen.

If you don’t pay attention and try to figure out what your body’s trying to tell you, it will try harder.  It’s very wise to pay attention.  Let your body talk to you.  Figure out what it’s trying to tell you.

If you keep putting those nudges on the back burner, you’ll be letting inflammation grow in your body.  And if you allow it to continue, you will end up with a chronic disease of some sort.

People don’t just “get” Alzheimer’s.  They don’t just “get” diabetes.  They don’t just “have” heart disease, or the other chronic diseases.  These diseases build up for years in your body and mind before you are “diagnosed”.  And medicine won’t cure these; the medicine only helps the symptoms to go away.

But you have the power.  We are our own best doctor, if we’ll pay attention to our bodies.  We need doctors.  They are necessary.  But they were not taught how to heal.  They can cut out the problem—which at some point may be necessary; and they can “bring down our numbers”.  But the cause stays there unless you use your power to heal yourself.

***************

What can heal our bodies?

Diets?  Well, Nutrition can help.  It’s actually necessary.  Junk food puts poison in our bodies.  Good quality food fights disease.

Exercise?  Our bodies were designed to move.  Movement helps our digestion; it helps our blood to flow through our bodies to all our organs; it helps our minds to be calm (better than any pill); it helps lubricate our joints and stretch our muscles; it helps our minds to think, and all of this together (done regularly) helps us live longer.

Sleep?  Yes.  Sleep helps us heal, 100%.  When we get restful sleep, while we’re sleeping, our body is working hard.  It’s removing toxins; it’s clearing out our brain and other systems of our body, so that we’ll be ready for the next day’s challenges.  If this doesn’t get to happen, well… you can just imagine toxins added to toxins without any cleanup.

Relationships?  Yes.  We underestimate the importance of this.  Good relationships give us a refreshing.  They give us energy, peace, confidence; a feeling of satisfaction.  We need to cultivate them—and make new ones.

Then there is our level of stress, which affects us on every level.  But we don’t see it as easily.  It hides from us anywhere it wants—maybe a weak part of our body; maybe just affecting our mind, which then affects other parts of our body.

Every part of our body affects the whole body.  When we don’t give our body the help it needs in one area, it affects everything else.  And over time, it affects our very life: how good we feel every day, the energy we have, the “bugs” we “catch”, and finally, our healthy lifespan.  I want to live to a long life—but I want all those years to be healthy.

Lots of things get categorized as “old age” that are simply ill health that can be avoided.

Your body’s not broken.  It may be weak, but you can strengthen it.

There are all sorts of “reasons” you “can’t”, right now.  And all sorts of hurdles that come up along the way.  But I can help you sort out the “I can’t” things, and I can help you get around and over the hurdles.

I can help you find the little secrets hidden here and there in your life so that you can see that making some small changes here and there can truly change your life in a big way.

You don’t have to live “overwhelmed”.  I can help you change that.

Call me for an appointment if you want a more peaceful—and yet productive—life.  I can help you.  (479) 234-2298
