About

Have a Peaceful "after-Christmastime"...

Sharon J Cole

I hope you have had a Wonderful Christmas Holiday.

What have you done in 2024?  Let’s reflect a little.

So many times we measure ourselves so strictly, and so tightly, and so harshly…

Reflect back on this year.  But don’t think of the things where you didn’t “measure up”.  Look for the things you accomplished—no matter how small, or large.

Who felt better because you were with them?

          Think of all those people you helped to smile… or feel better;

What goals did you have?  Think of the forward steps you made.  (Who cares if you didn’t reach the goal… look at your Progress!)

What things did you get to enjoy this year?

How many peaceful, quiet times did you get to have?

How many times were you able to count your blessings?

Who was added to your family this year?

How many times did you get to enjoy your family this year?

What have you done new this year, that you’ve never done before?

How many times did you get to hear children enjoy playing?

All sorts of ways we’ve been blessed.  And all sorts of ways we’ve done well.

I think it’s a good exercise to, each night as we lay down, to think over the day and make ourselves consider at least one thing we’ve done well, and to be thankful for being blessed to be able to do that.

So many times we feel we’re “not worthy” and not good enough.

I think this practice of thinking of one good thing every night, nudges us out of such strict judgment of ourselves, and helps us to see the value we are, and the value we can be.

True enough, lots of times we truly don’t measure up.  So….?  Who is it that’s perfect.  We will never be.  So give yourself some slack.  It’s ok to not measure up all the time.  And it’s a blessing to us to notice and give ourselves credit “for the good things”.

 Now… let’s think toward 2025–in case you haven’t been…

What about asking for Wisdom… to be able to see any nudges we’re given so we can pick up on things that can guide us toward seeing what we’d like to make of our lives in this coming year.

What we’d like our health to look like…

What we’d like our work-life to look like…

What we’d like our relationships to look like…

What we’d like our finances to look like…

Do you realize it’s ok to imagine how our lives could be… how we’d want them to be?

Do you realize we have the power to reach for what we imagine?

Sometimes when we make goals, they just take flight and come to us.

Sometimes we have to work really, really hard and still may not reach them.  But even if we don’t reach the exact goal… we make progress!

Sometimes we realize we’re looking toward the wrong goal and we change it, or totally decide we don’t want a certain goal.  And that’s totally fine!

What do you really want in your life in the next year?

Think about it.

Decide.

Then, let’s go for it.

I can help you reach your goals.  You CAN do it.

Reach out to me, by phone, email, or private message.  I can help you.
