There’s a lot happening in this ol’ world. Lots of chaos, seems like people are more stressed and disgruntled than they used to be. (If we’re around those types of people, they use up our precious energy pretty quickly.)
If we watch the news, most of the time we add more anxiety to our lives.
So many of us have very little quiet time during our workdays, and lots of us end up with day after day of rush, rush, rush. Then solving problems, overcoming hurdles, taking very little (if any) time for lunches, or even short breaks.
We over-schedule ourselves, not with unnecessary things, but with all sorts of good things. If we spend time on social media, there’s more stress.
Then, if some sort of calamity happens in our lives… well, we just hope it won’t.
If we don’t take some time to care for our own selves, eat right, exercise, just having some quiet space, we won’t have the energy to do the things we really want to do. Our life won’t be our own to design—it will belong to our rushed schedule.

So if we feel the pressure from all these things combined, or even just a few of them, are we enjoying our lives?
Are we so used to living in this status quo (trying to take a few minutes here and there, squeezing in some time for things that are truly important to us) when we don’t even realize we’re missing out on relaxing and being able to enjoy our lives?
Has it been a long time since you’ve enjoyed relaxation? What do you think it takes to relax and enjoy, and be at peace with your life?
Do you think it would be realistic to have that as a goal? Believe me, it can be your successful goal. Maybe not a goal to master immediately, but small changes? They’re easily within your reach.
My first visit to a Functional Medicine doctor, I was told I must take time to “relax”. As hard as I tried, I found that very hard to do. It was a great challenge for me to “sit on the porch and listen to the birds” for 15 minutes every day.
That was one of my prescriptions. I was so used to running full steam ahead—all the time; I couldn’t “relax” sitting still for 15 minutes. I had to keep trying, so I could get used to it. Of course, now I love it.

Would you like some hints that might help you come up with a few ideas for yourself, to add some peaceful relaxation in your life?
Get up. If you spend more time than you want to “sitting”, regardless if it’s productive or not, think out of the box a little to imagine something fun, or productive that you’ve been wanting to accomplish, or something creative you’ve been wanting to do, and concentrate on actively doing that instead—maybe once a week.
Make a decision to make an appointment with yourself at a specific time and certain day, to do something fun. Play a game in your yard; dance to a YouTube video—even if by yourself; if you enjoy puzzles, make a puzzle—do something you can enjoy.
Be Thankful, Always. Think of all the things. Write them down. It’s a good habit.
Hope. Keep your Hope alive, every way you can.
Laugh. Breathe some deep breaths.
Be real with yourself. Know how you, yourself, truly feel in your heart and mind.
If you must be around toxic people, cut that time to a minimum.
When you hear people talking “noise” that causes your mind to stray away from peace and uplifting thoughts, don’t accept the stress from it. Remove yourself mentally from the noise.
Even if you won’t be seeing another person, fix yourself up. Look forward to looking your best, especially when you will be around people.
There is beauty in most things, but sometimes it’s hidden. Look for the beauty in your life, in your heart, and in your friends.
Celebrate the regular holidays, birthdays, etc. But celebrate Every Day.
Be grateful for your life. You are alive and have opportunity to change your life in almost any way imaginable. And every one of us if we try, can come up with more things to be thankful for about our lives than we ourselves could even imagine. And as long as you’re alive, you have this power—to change your life.
So, determine to enjoy your life, with good relationships, good times, and good food. Does that sound good to you? (You have the power)
Smile.
Stand up straight.
Speak peacefully. Be wise with your words.
Do good as much as you can.
Love your family; love the people in your life.
Enjoy your work. How can you do that if it isn’t an enjoyable job, or for a less-than employer? The Book says in whatever we do, do it the best we can. It also says to do our work as unto God—not necessarily as unto our boss. Also, the ability to work—It’s a gift.
Appreciate the Nature around you. The birds, the sunsets & rises, the clouds. And put your bare feet on the actual ground.
Read The Book.
Ask for Wisdom.
After all these things, does that mean your life will be the way you want it to be? Will you expect the surroundings of your life to change? No. We were never promised this life would be easy—or even fair. And it never will be on this earth. But if everything around you is bad, and your heart is light, you’ll feel the good.
How we feel, and how we react to this life is our power. The power to make our life better.

So, what do you think? Do you think you can improve your life to Enjoy it?
You can. Make some goals. Lighten your heart.
Keep Love in your heart. Sometimes we might have to ask for divine help here. And that’s good too.
Then… everyone has times when things in our lives go terribly wrong. We may not be able to feel gratitude for those things, but we can find small things in it that we can appreciate—the support of our friends or family, etc.
Thank you for reading.
Please do message me if I can help you over a hurdle, or help you in any way.
Determine to Build that Life you want! Appreciate the Life you have. Love People. Enjoy.

P.S.
Oh… And your body—your health—will love you for it!

A merry heart does good like medicine, but a broken spirit saps a person’s strength.
Proverbs 15:15.
For the despondent, every day brings trouble; for the happy heart, life is a continual feast.
Philippians 4:8.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
